By Mary Jardine, Resident and her friend, Melita, Hospitality Intern
On Friday, July 13, the Residents of the Sacred Heart Unit, along with our Hospitality Interns, Michelle and Melita, our Volunteer, Dana, and Sr. Diane took a fun trip through San Francisco. Thom Anderson was our bus driver, and he drove us to many locations of interest, including Twin Peaks (from where we could even see our Home in the distance), through Gold Gate Park (where we even saw bison and a windmill), and over by the Cliff House. We enjoyed it all very much. We saw many very interesting areas of San Francisco. We entertained ourselves with music as we looked out the windows, but we made sure our singing and laughter didn’t get too loud for our bus driver. Toward the end of our three-hour ride, we stopped for some San Francisco ice cream, and thanks to our driver, we were able to enjoy it at Baker Beach, where we could see the Golden Gate Bridge fading into the fog. We will carry the happy memory of this wonderful trip with us for many years.
On a Clear Day . . . We Could Ride Forever!
