Cheers to Another Group of St. Anne’s Home Heroes!
The most important way to prevent the spread of this notorious virus, COVID-19 is GOOD hygiene and sanitation. Since our lockdown in March of this year, our dedicated housekeeping crew has been working extra diligently to keep our Home cleaned, sanitized, free of germs, and above all, SAFE for the most vulnerable members of our society, the elderly, who are most susceptible to the coronavirus.
Since all Residents are obliged to eat in their own rooms, the cleanliness of their rooms requires extra attention. Yes, and also sanitizing anything and everything in the Home – the handrails, doorknobs, elevator interior walls, including the press buttons, and all areas that are likely to be used or even touched by more than one person. It is certainly not easy for them to have to do their cleaning while wearing a mask and to also observe the required social distancing, but their devotion does not wane.
Besides the nursing staff and the sisters, the ones whom the Residents see most are the housekeeping crew! The pleasant presence of these “heroes” has, as well, been a great source of comfort to the emotional well-being of the elderly Residents, who have been deprived of visits from families and friends during our extended quarantine.
A GREAT SHOUT-OUT to you ALL!
