We are very lucky to have children from local schools visit and entertain our Residents. Each month, the Parker School kindergarten class provides gifts they make themselves and give out during in-room visits. The Waldorf School garden class comes every week singing through the hallways as they invite our residents to our backyard garden, where they do their organic gardening and then share their harvest of fruits and vegetables with our Residents. More importantly the children bring their gifts of joy, innocence, and curiosity, which always bring smiles to those they meet.
Recently our Auxiliary ladies brought their grandchildren in to St. Anne’s to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with our Residents. The children entertained the Residents with Irish dancing, shared cookies with them, and even brought in their loveable Labrador Retriever to visit with the Residents.
