Rays of Light

Rays of Light

Quarantine and the resulting isolation has been very difficult for our Residents and our Resident’s families this past year. However, we all come together in gratitude for the kindness of people in our community. Essential items like hand sanitizer, disinfectant, and coffee, to name just a few of the items that people have left at our doorstep. Some of these items come from people well known to us, yet others are anonymous or from kind people we do not know.

Recently, we had three lovely students from San Francisco State University, who kindly dropped off beautiful glass vases with a rose for each of our Residents. The roses were accompanied by a thoughtful note – all intended for the singular purpose of uplifting the spirits of our Residents. The touching gesture accomplished its goal. It is small acts of kindness like this from which we all draw strength, and which remind us of the beauty that lies in the hearts of kind people all around us. Thank you, Natasha, Nicole, and Haley for being rays of light in the lives of our Residents.
