Dear family and friends,
As we usher in the fall season, we know that this time of year will feel and look different compared to past years. I wish for you and your family to find fun Fall activities that you can safely do and enjoy. I know that with a good sense of organization, preparation and lots of creativity, it is still possible to enjoy your favorite seasonal events.
I am happy to let you know that the fifth round of staff COVID-19 testing all came out negative. Thank you all for your prayers.
It is anticipated by the SFDPH that we will be going to weekly COVID-19 testing for our staff. This will happen during the month of October.
As mentioned to you last week, we were happy to welcome a new Resident. A room is now being prepared for another new Resident, a woman, who will be moving in next week. We hope and pray that the Home remains infection-free so we can continue to welcome new Residents to our lovely Home.
The balcony visitations are doing well, thank you for your cooperation. Please continue to call the Sisters few days ahead of your scheduled visit. Please click here, to read the Home’s policy for Outdoor Balcony Visits.
As you speak with your loved ones this week, please continue to encourage them to take the influenza vaccines. I can not stress enough the importance of taking the vaccine. As we all know, while there is no vaccine for COVID-19 yet, the flu shot can help reduce the risk of illness and hospitalization from an influenza infection.
I just learned that the cleaning product Pine-Sol cleaner has been approved to kill coronavirus on frequently used surfaces. For those of you who would want to donate Pine-Sol, we would appreciate it very much.
Once again, thank you for your generosity and support to the Home. May you all continue to be well and safe.
Have a very nice first weekend of Fall!
God bless you,
